Would You Like To Schedule A Performance?
The Blacksburg Community Band is available to play for groups, organizations or community events such as nursing homes, hospitals, community fairs, holiday events, special occasions, and outside park concerts, to name a few. The band does not charge for performances. The sponsoring concert host is asked only to provide chairs and a suitable place to play. Voluntary donations from concert hosts are, of course, gratefully accepted since these funds support the operations of the band. Whenever possible, music will be selected to complement your event or to meet your listening preferences. If you would like to schedule a performance or obtain more details about the band, contact:

Membership in the band is open to individuals of all ages and ability levels from the New River Valley and surrounding areas. No auditions are required and there are no dues or fees. Members volunteer their time and talents. Current members range in age from teenagers to senior adults. They include housewives, students, managers, engineers, retailers and teachers, to name a few. All share the common bond of having fun by making music and sharing this joy with the community. The Blacksburg Community Band holds rehearsals every Wednesday evening, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. (except for the months of July and August) in the Blacksburg High School band room on Patrick Henry Drive in Blacksburg. Members are encouraged to attend rehearsals on as regular a basis as their personal and work schedules permit. Members will often come late to rehearsal or leave early. The emphasis is placed upon the enjoyment of making music. For more information, contact:
