1994 Spring Concert - Photo by J. Michael Bruchas
This performing group ranges from 35 to 65 players from all corners of the New River Valley with diverse experience and backgrounds. The band plays a wide variety of concert band music including marches, show tunes, light symphonic music, popular tunes, old favorites, and novelty music.
The Blacksburg Community Band Music Library began its collection shortly after the band's inception in January of 1989. To date, there are 295 works in the collection.
The band will be updating this listing and plans to add composer and title cross-indexing features to this page in the near future. Your browser's "find" feature should allow you to search for key words or composers fairly easily for the moment. If you have any knowledge of accepted standards in the cataloging of music libraries, please contact the Blacksburg Community Band c/o Ed Schwartz. We would like to maintain a compatible listing with other organizations.
